The other raided projects in Caguas were Narciso Varona and Práxedes Santiago, considered high-crime areas. The task force raided Gautier Benítez twice, on both Friday night and Saturday morning.
One of the seized vehicles there was a Mini Cooper, which had eight pounds of marijuana and $269 in cash inside, Negrón Reyes said. The owner was identified as Ibrahim Colón Yobicet, whose age and place of residence were not reported.
Police also arrested Ramón Santiago Rodríguez, who allegedly tried to flee while carrying an XD-40 pistol and ammunition.
At Narciso Varona, agents arrested Angel Torres Feliciano, his wife, Luz Sánchez Rivera, and his brother-in-law José Sánchez Rivera on charges related to their alleged selling of illegal drugs. Police seized 863 pieces of crack cocaine, eight bags of marijuana, a Glock .45 pistol, two magazines and ammunition, Negrón Reyes.
